Some of my wedding photography from the Low House Armathwaite near Carlisle, a beautiful venue which is always a pleasure to visit. If you are thinking of booking this venue and you like my work please get in touch and we can arrange to meet Thanks for looking …..Janet
Low House was a new venue for me and the moment I drove up to I could see how beautiful it was and why the couple had chosen it for their wedding ceremony. it has very special feel about it. The owners believe in giving everything a personal touch and came out to meet me
and show me around before the wedding party arrived. Philippa and her bridesmaids arrived an hour before the ceremony to get dressed and meet up with me and the registrars. It was a beautiful spring day so the ceremony was going to be held outside in the licensed wedding gazebo. Iain and all the guests made their
way to the back garden and took their seats.
The bridesmaids came out first followed by Philippa and her father, there is something very special about an outdoor wedding. The ceremony
was lovely and there were two readings by members of the family. Champagne and canapes were served in the garden which was lovely for photographs and there is a stunning wisteria covering the front of Low House. Philippa and Iain chose the front of the house for their formal and family photo’s When the photographs were done we set off to Drybeck Farm for the wedding breakfast.
Drybeck Farm wedding venue is a campsite in the heart of the beautiful Eden Valley in Cumbria on the edge of The Lake District. This was the first wedding to be held there but the owners are advertising to do more. It is a perfect location with a marquee and plenty of space next to the River Eden great place for families, the children have plenty of space to run around and play. The marquee had been decorated by the bride, groom and their family and friends and was perfect for the rural setting. They had hired not one but two bouncy castles for the children and probably the grown ups too. The wonderful buffet was served and Philippa kindly asked me to join them. Then it was time for the speeches which are always a good time to get some great shots full of emotion.
Before I left Philippa and Iain asked if would take some photographs of them by the river as it had a special meaning to them both.
