I always enjoy
The Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa and have worked there on many occasions, Gemma and her team are always marvelous to work alongside.
The hotel has just been refurbished
and the Atrium and all the rooms are amazing. I met up with Nichola and her bridesmaids early on the morning of the wedding as the ceremony was at 11.30. The girls were doing their make up and having their hair done by their hairdresser from the North East.
The bridesmaids were wearing
different pastel coloured dresses and they complimented one another perfectly. Nichola’s dress had belonged to her mum and the dress had been redesigned to fit her and looked beautiful. My second shooter was downstairs with Adam and his groomsmen getting some photographs on the jetty which they had requested.
When all the girls were ready
I left them to go to the gallery to be ready for the ceremony, and have a word with the registrars. The gallery is a perfect room for the ceremony with its high ceilings and beautiful lighting.
Nichola and her bridesmaids
made their entrance and Adam was moved to tears when he saw his bride. The ceremony was lovely as always, the bride and groom wanted a confetti shot at the front of the hotel so all the guest lined up ready for them to come outside.
Then it was time for the big group shot
and family photographs the couple only wanted a few of these and were happy for us to take lots of natural photographs of all the guests enjoying the day. Nichola and Adam wanted some couple shots on the jetty and at the side of the lake so we we left the guests for 20 minutes to do these.
The wedding breakfast
was to be held in The Windermere Restaurant which always looks amazing, the wedding cake was made by www.sugarruffles.co.uk ,who make the most beautiful wedding cakes. The speeches were before the meal so then everyone could relax and enjoy their food.
