Beautiful Wedding Photography in Cumbria and The Lake District
HELLO! I’M Janet.
I am a Keswick wedding photographer and visual storyteller.
I believe in the power of photography — that images tell the stories that words alone can’t.
Above all, I believe everyone looks best in the pictures where they are having a good time.
I believe you have a story to tell.
My Favourite Keswick Wedding Venues
Elegant Edwardian home
Bristowe Hill is an elegant Edwardian home from home – provided your home comes with 360-degree views of Lakeland’s finest peaks, ten bedrooms and five acres of serene seclusion. Inside, spread out with family and friends among period features and modern touches. Retreat, revitalise and remember what matters in life.
Follow the tree-lined driveway through five acres filched from the Lake District’s loveliest corner and the sense of seclusion is immediate. That and the grand elevation, in more ways than one. Serenity reigns, yet there’s nothing remote about Bristowe Hill. Keswick town centre is a sharp stroll away and the motorway is within easy reach.
impossible not to relax
It’s impossible not to relax here. There’s space for family and friends to spread out in ten bedrooms, expansive reception rooms marrying period craftsmanship with mod cons. At Bristowe Hill, arts and crafts moulding, panelling and cornicing sit in harmony with superfast rural broadband and modern media.
The Lingholm Estate
If you are looking for a unique and memorable wedding day, Lingholm provides the ideal venue.
At Lingholm we can cater for large and small weddings either within the main house or outside in the grounds. For weddings of up to 90 guests our largest function room, The Stone Room, makes a wonderful backdrop for both the ceremony and the reception. The Stone Room is a magnificent hall with high ceilings, leaded windows and an imposing stone fireplace, a crystal chandelier adds a touch of elegance for your big day.
For more intimate weddings we can offer The Dining Room, which is a wonderfully atmospheric room with oak panelling and an ornate carved fireplace dating back to 1605.
For larger weddings of up to 150 people, we can host a larger ceremony in The Stone Room with the reception moving to the grounds of the Estate in either a Tipi or a Marquee.
You and your wedding party will have full access to the grounds and lake shore, including the photogenic terracing on the lake side of the house.
Regarding accommodation, wedding parties are required to book at a minimum the six apartments in Lingholm house, sleeping up to 24 guests. This is to ensure you have complete exclusivity on your special day. An additional five cottages and our luxury Boathouse can be booked if required, which means a further 46 people can be accommodated on the Estate.
We can to tailor our service to suit individual needs because we know everybody has different ideas and requirements. We provide the space and setting for your big day and you can add the fine detail to make your wedding unique to you. Of course, we can help by providing a list of reliable suppliers.
I have been a Keswick Wedding Photographer many times. There are a number of beautiful churches in Keswick. And I have been lucky enough to be a wedding photographer at most of them.
Keswick St John Church
Our Church can be seen for miles around, from the top of Catbells and down the beautiful Borrowdale valley. It is set in a prominent position within the town of Keswick and is also distinctive with it’s a typical pink sandstone and spire.
be there for everyone
As the Anglican Church which serves most of this Lakeland town we try to be there for everyone. Our main service each Sunday is our Sung Eucharist where you will be made welcome as visitors or if you have come to live here. We have a good choral tradition and one of the best organs and organists in the county. People tell us that we are a ‘friendly’ church and our congregation is outward looking and open.
edge of Keswick
CROSTHWAITE CHURCH is situated on the edge of Keswick and the Parish incorporates the northern half of this charming Lakeland town and several nearby villages.
The present building dates from 1523 and stands on a site founded by St. Kentigern himself in 543.
The Church has an evangelical tradition. The main Sunday morning service is well attended and welcoming with coffee etc served the Church afterwards.

Our Lady Of The Lake
If you would like to enquire about being married in Our Lady and St Charles or St Joseph’s. And you live outside the parish. Speak to your own parish priest about the Church processes. Which will need to be gone through. The main requirement is for the couple to give notice. Giving notice, or notice of intent, means making a legal declaration. That you are both free to marry each other. And you will need to provide certain documents when doing so. Another beautiful church In Keswick for wedding photography.
