I was looking forward to photographing Elizabeth and Adam’s Bristowe Hill Keswick Wedding . Namely, because this was my first visit to this stunning wedding venue. When I arrived I was blown away by this beautiful wedding venue. Everywhere I looked there was sumptuous seating, stunning metallic wallpaper. Beautiful works of art adorned the walls. The magnificent staircase led to the lavish bedrooms. Above all this is a beautiful arts and crafts house.
Bristowe Hill is an elegant Edwardian Lakeland mansion. Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite lakes are to the north and south. Somewhere in the middle, Bristowe sits high on a hill, the valley spreading down below. It’s impossible not to relax here. There’s space for family and friends to spread out in ten bedrooms, expansive reception rooms with all mod cons. The decor is absolutely stunning.
After bridal preps were finished the bridal party walked to the church. This was a great opportunity for some great shots of the bridal party.
The wedding ceremony was to be held at Our Lady of the Lake R C Church in Keswick. The church was flooded when Storm Desmond hit and has been beautifully restored. After the lovely ceremony we all walked back up to Bristowe House for a very delicious afternoon tea and champagne. Elizabeth and Adam kindly asked us to join them too.
