Bowness-on-Windermere in South Lakeland, Cumbria, England. Due to its position on the shores of Windermere, the town has become a tourist honeypot.
Although two separate towns with different town centres. Windermere, and its smaller neighbour Bowness-On-Windermere, have merged together. Becoming one larger settlement on the eastern edge of Windermere Lake.
With a combined population of around 12,000. The two towns have become the Lake District’s most popular tourist destination. Thanks to their accessibility and the number of high profile attractions in the area
