Adele and Russell have been coming to The Lake District
for many years so it was the perfect location for their wedding. It was a mild but wet morning when I arrived for bridal preps, Adele and her sister were having their hair and make up done by Ashley and Keseme Goodwin https://www.facebook.com/KesemeGoodwinMUA/
I have worked with both these ladies a number of times
and they always do a fantastic job. Adele’s dress was hung across the bed and was stunning, her other 6 bridesmaids were getting ready in another room along the corridor so it was easy to pop between both rooms. The couple had hoped to get married outside in the gazebo but the weather had put a stop to that. The ceremony was to be held in the Glenridding Suite.
The ceremony was lovely
and there were a few tears too. The rain had started to ease of by the end of the ceremony, so after the drinks reception I suggested to Adele and Russell that we go down to the reflection pool to get some bridal party shots. The couple also wanted some by the lake and on the jetty, there are so many beautiful places with stunning views at The Inn On The Lake. We went over to the Lakeside Gazebo to for some bride and bridesmaids shots, the all important confetti shot was next there is a great set of steps with the hotel in the background which makes a great place for confetti if the lawns are too wet.
The restaurant where the wedding breakfast
was to be held looked amazing, the venue dresser had done a fantastic job and it had an Alice in Wonderland look and feel about it, Adele and Russell loved it when the had their preview. The couple were having their speeches first, a option which is becoming ever more popular.
