This was my first ever visit to The Hydro Windermere Wedding Venue one of Windermere’s oldest hotels re-opened early 2017 after a multi-million-pound refurbishment. The colours, fabrics and upholstery are absolutely stunning. I went up to find Adele and all her bridesmaids and it was lovely to meet up with Gemma from http://www.hairforawedding.co.uk/ I have worked with Gemma a lot over the years and she always does an amazing job. All the girls were nearly ready, only a few finishing touches before they all put the beautiful dresses on. My second shooter was busy downstairs getting shots of the groom and guests.
was held in The Ballroom ,boasting high ceilings and stunning views of the Lake, making a perfect backdrop. The ceremony was lovely as always, Adele and Dave then led their guests into the bar next door for drinks. The bar is lovely and has a wonderful mirror on the back wall great for photographs. The couple both have large families and wanted plenty of both natural and formal photographs. The front terrace is a great place for photographs with Windermere and The Langdales in the background, the Lake District has some spectacular scenery, and I am very lucky to work in such a beautiful place.
When all family photographs were finished
we went to a get some shots of just the couple on their own, both on the front terrace and inside as there are some fantastic corridors, doorways and mirrors inside the hotel, so even if the weather is bad as it can be in The Lakes there are still plenty of places for photographs. The wedding breakfast was held in The Ballroom and all the tables, chairs and cake looked amazing. Adele and Dave had chosen to do their speeches prior to the meal so everyone could relax and enjoy their food.
